We all need to hear that now and again on the journey towards enlightenment. Nearly 800 years ago the Buddhist Master Shinran called the end of that journey "One Taste" which I think of as freedom that comes from Light Itself.
Thanks again for the encouragement.

Comment on Don't get Disappointed

there is a typo in the first sentence "tent" shojuld be "tend"

Comment on Random Thoughts 2-21-2010

Yes, I think the idea is to give up for Lent something that has become something of a crutch and today that's the iPod, cell phone and other technical gadgets.

Comment on Random Thoughts 2-21-2010

I love the pets for vets thing! What a wonderful idea.
I saw the story on the news about the lady that repelled the robber by saying to leave the store in the name of Jesus.
I think asking for something new to be given up for lent is a great idea. I think we have to change with the times and the point is it's supposed to be a sacrifice. Today the sacrifice of technology will be a much stronger one.

Comment on Revenge of the Spiritual

Very true. The charlatans can only exist if there are real teachings for them to try to imitate.

Comment on Revenge of the Spiritual

Yes indeed.
