Invisible Things Do Exist
We all believe that many invisible things exist even though we can't see them because we can see, or otherwise get, evidence of their existence indirectly. In the spring, when I am walking my dogs, I often know when we are getting close to some honeysuckle in bloom even though I can't see it because I can smell it. I can tell a police car or firetruck is approaching without seeing it because I can hear the siren. I can feel the wind and see it bending branches although I can't see the wind itself.
In the same manner that we know these invisible or hidden things are real, we can know that spirit is real and God is real. We know that, according to science, matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. So where was the physical universe before the so called Big Bang? You can believe, as some materialistic types do, that it was all rolled up into a tiny ball the size of a pea, if not smaller, or you can believe that it existed as spirit that was changed, deformed, slowed down, and turned into matter. I find the second option the more believable one.
As for God, simple logic should tell us that if there is intelligence in the universe, than there must be an intelligence that is greater than others, a Supreme Intelligence, a Supreme Being. And the evidence of intelligence in the universe is everywhere. The material universe, despite it's many flaws because it was created by the fallen angels, not by God, is nontheless very organized. It is easy to tell an oak tree from an apple tree because it's has it's own distinctive type of leave and apples never grow on an oak tree. If you drop a raw egg, if falls down, never up, and breaks open and makes a mess. It obeys laws, rules, guidelines. Laws, rules and guidelines mean organization. Chaos has no rules and no organization. And organization means intelligence. So once again, if the universe is intelligently organized, then there must be a Supreme Intelligence, one that is above all the rest, and that is God.
