Wake Up Positive

The first thing in the morning when our feet touch the floor, out feelings began to feed us impressions. Not only do they review our situation in a few seconds, they decide if this is a good day or if it should be one of anxiety. This is the precise time to hush feelings and paint the day the way we want it to be—Not to be fed from the negative side.” ~Joyce Sequichie

Starting the day off right is important. It should be fairly obvious that if you start it out with a negative turn, than it is highly unlikely that the day will end up being an overall positive one for you. If you let your aches and pains get to you, your worries about money, your health, whatever, to start bothering you as soon as you wake up, it's like pointing your day in a certain direction assuring that it will go that way. If you want to shoot an arrow into a target, you point at the target, not away from it.

So when you wake up in the morning, particularly if, like me, you usually lay in bed awake for a while before you actually get up, make an effort to use that time to think of the positive things in your life and the positive things that you want to happen today rather than the problems and difficulties and the things you don't want to happen.

You may not want to get up and head off to work. Maybe things have not been going so well at the office. Maybe a project you are working on is behind schedule. Maybe there is a problem you are having difficulty solving. Don't start off the morning thinking about that. Instead of a problem, think “I will find a solution today”. Instead of “I really don't feel like driving to work and spending a long day in the office.” think, “I'm glad I have a job to go to in this troubled economy.”

It's even worse if you are retired like I am. You wonder why you should get out of your warm, comfy bed at all. My old joints hurt, I think I may be getting a cold, I didn't get enough sleep, etc. When you find yourself thinking like that, change it. Start thinking of all the good reasons you do have for getting out of bed. Think of the good things that could happen today. Think of all the positive things you can do when you get up.

In short, do your best to concentrate on the positive when you wake up and get out of bed and remember that God, the angels, and all Beings of Light will help guide you if you let them.
