Random Thoughts: Christmas 2011
The Christmas colors of green and red are said to be symbolic of eternal life and the blood of Christ, but how did those colors become associated with Christmas and Christmas decorations? Historians say it started in the fourteenth century when it was traditional to have a miracle play on Christmas eve that depicted Adam & Eve and the eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The tree used was typically a pine tree since they were still green in winter. Red apples were attached to the branches to represent the fruit of the tree. And that is how red and green became associated with Christmas.
I wrote about some examples of negative karma recently. Here is a positive example. A guy in Massachusetts found an envelop with about $2000 dollars in it. He went to the trouble of finding out who had lost it, and returned it to that person. Not long after, that guy entered a radio contest and won a new car. What goes around comes around.
I think 2011 can be called βThe year of theDictatorβ as so many of them have been erased this year, one way or another.

I think it's great that some wealthy people have been going into store and paying off other people's Layaway bills but, if you think about it, the people who really need the help wouldn't have even put stuff on layaway.
