They shall condemn the stars of heaven, shall lift up their hands against the Most High, shall tread upon and inhabit the earth, exhibiting all their acts of iniquity, even their works of inequity. Their strength shall be in their riches, and in their faith in the gods they have formed with their own hands. Enoch was considered one of the greatest prophets by the Essenes. He was, of course, one of them. So who are these horrible dark people he is talking about here? He uses the terms “kings” and “the mighty”. Scholars probably think this is about something that was happening at the time, but it is actually an End Times prophecy. Since these are the End Times, we can see that the dark people referred to are the politicians and business leaders of today, especially the leaders of the big corporations and banks who have no qualms whatsoever about crushing the little people who get in their way. But he also mentions those who follow false gods that they form by their own hands. Those who may say they are following Jesus, and the God he preached about, but they have changed Jesus and his Father into materialists who reward with money and material possessions which is not at all what Jesus taught.
