Random Thoughts 10-9-2011

The Occupy Wall Street movement doesn't surprise me at all. I expected something like this would have to happen before the banks and big corporations woke up. For more than a year I have wrote about the changing world and how the big corporations, including the big banks, need to change their way of doing business if they want to remain in business in the new age that is very much upon us. In short, they need to change from a greed perspective to one of service to the customers.  I do thing a better name would be "The Wake up Wall Street!" movement.

The loss of Steve Jobs this week was the loss of one of the best corporate chiefs. He understood that producing good products would get his company plenty of customers and that would mean profit. He didn't operate strictly from the idea of maximizing profit in the current year without regard for the future or the reputation of the company.

I've started looking at houses in the Reno area through online listings as I get ready for moving there sometime next year. The difficult part will be to sell my house here in Virginia first.

SILENCE LIKE SUNLIGHT will illuminate you in God, and will deliver you from the phantoms of ignorance. Silence will unite you with God Himself.” ~Isaac of Nineveh

An interesting art work from the twelfth century showing the twelve signs of the zodiac surrounding the Sun of Righteousness.
