It is used for lung problems and joint inflammation.
Cautions: Many countries have banned the use of comfrey for internal treatments because some studies indicate that it can cause liver cancer. Some herbalist say the studies were flawed because they used concentrations of one ingredient from comfrey in a dose much too large to represent the amount a person would get when taking the herb. Nevertheless, t is best to limit the use of comfrey to external treatments.
