Improving the World

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ~Anne Frank

Not only do we not need to wait, but we also can start now, no matter how old we are, or what our past is. We are not forced to be what we were in the past. We can start to change now and, in doing so, change the world. Changing ourselves is usually the first step we all must take to help improve our world. And we need to continuously improve ourselves as we fight to improve the world.
Where things get a little difficult is in figuring out what needs to be done to improve the world. It's easy to come up with simple generalities like, “What the world needs is more love!”, or, “The world needs less violence.” While these generalities are often true, we need something a bit more specific to act on. Not just ,“The world needs more love!”, but what steps can we take to make that happen.
The first thing is to understand what the world of the future will be. These ARE the End Times. This age is ending and a new one about to begin. This new age will not be an age of materialism and consumerism. It will be an age of spiritual growth for us, the planet, and even the stars. So if we want to get ready for that new world, the solutions need to be aimed at spiritual growth and spiritual awakening for all. Helping to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, etc. are all fine things to do, especially in a materialistic world, but they are not particularly significant in aiding spiritual growth. So if you want to donate food and clothing, that is fine, I do it myself, but you need to help the world in spiritual ways also.
