I wonder if several months from now, the government will regret the decision to flood thousands of acres of farm land in order to spare towns and small cities. I guess we know where their priorities are: protect the city folks and the hell with the farmers who feed them.

And, while we're at it, here is a radical idea regarding use of flood planes: only allow mobile homes. Real mobile homes with wheels that stay on them so they can be moved quickly when floods are coming. It makes sense, so it won't happen.

I read this week that nearly a third of all food grown, gets wasted one way or another. So why are corporations spending millions developing frankencrops that they claim will solve hunger problems? We already have more than enough food, but we waste it. Growing more won't change that.
