I did watch the royal wedding this week along with nearly everyone else on the planet and enjoyed it, but if we are honest we will realize the whole royalty thing is just a very large, sophisticated, and expensive LARP (Live Action Role Playing) since the British Monarchy really has no actual power any more.

The worse three day period of tornadoes on record this week and the season is just getting started. One small tornado got withing five or six miles of my home. I got a weather alert radio to warn me at night because it is likely to get worse. Next year is 2012 after all.

I've made my hotel and airline reservations for the annual convocation in Reno already. This year it will be from September 5^th to September 11^th. The annual Reno hot air balloon events will be that week also. Maybe this year I will get a chance to attend some of it.
