Random Thoughts 4-17-2011

Another case of syncronicity this week. I was putting away my laundry and, when I found I had an uneven number of socks, I thought of the movie “The Borrowers” which I haven't seen for years. About an hour later, a commercial on TV informed me that the movie was going to be on television later in the week.

I don't think Muslims are improving their image in the west by sending hate mail and death threats to the Muslim woman in England who is running for Miss Universe. Personally, I don't understand why any modern woman would want to be in a beauty contest, but that's another issue.

Fortunately, David Buhati's attempt to make homosexuality a crime punishable by death is not getting much support in the Ugandan Parliament.

Am I the only one who thinks that commercial where the rabbits laugh at the rattle snake with a baby rattle for a tail is encouraging bullies to make fun of those who are different?

There will be a two day Cosolargy seminar in Wisconsin April 30 to May 1. Click here for details.

Jenna Ludwig, who is working on a book on syncronicity, has started a blog on that subject.  Take a look.

A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.”~Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am only one person, but by working with others, I can make a difference.

    Harold,

That is very gracious of you to post my blog on your own site. Thank you!

Your statement, "I am only one person, but by working with others, I can make a difference," reminds of a cute show my tree-year old granddaughter watches occasionally. It goes by the name of "Wonder Pets." The Wonder Pets are three little animals: a baby duck, a turtle, and a hedgehog, and they rescue other animals in trouble. They sing a song with a refrain that goes like this: "We're not too big and we're not too tough, but when we work together, we've got the right stuff...teamwork!

    Right on!
