I find it a little odd that many people don't seem to recognize that the “day-star” is the sun!
As this short passage indicates, the world can defile the spiritual sun by constantly bombarding it with negative and violent thoughts. That is why it is important for spiritual people to send it thoughts of love, joy, tolerance and peace.
