Random Thoughts 3-20-2011

    While we continue to watch in horror what is happening in Japan, I am also touched by the few stories that have come out about how these people are helping each other in this time of great need. Stories like the restaurant owner who saw his house washed away, but is now giving away meals at his restaurant to help his neighbors.

This Hopi Video has an important message for the people of Japan as well as the rest of the world if we want to minimize these difficulties in the future.  And there will be more because these are the End Times.


So the mayor of Camden, NJ found out the hard way that laying off a lot of police has negative effects, namely: a sharp increase in crime. After he layed off 185 police, the crime rate went up 20% so he has hired back 50.

When a burglar got caught red-handed because the home owners got home, he hid in the bathroom and called 911 and turned himself in.

A guy in Pennsylvania got tired of waiting for his ride outside a hospital, so he stole an ambulance.

A security guard in Georgia decided to pretend he was a real cop. Unfortunately for him, the guy he tried to pull over in traffic was a real police detective.
