Random Thoughts 2-20-2011
Two weeks ago, I said the despots, dictators and corrupt governments of the world should pay attention to what was happening in Egypt because they could be next. Now, it is happening in several other countries and is likely to continue spreading.
I find it odd that most spiritual gurus are completely ignoring the Sun of Righteousness despite the importance placed on it in the Book of Malachi.
I can understand the wrestler who forfeited a match because he said his religious beliefs wouldn't let him wrestle a girl but, when he adds that it is because wrestling is a violent sport, why is it OK to engage in a violent sport with another boy, but not a girl? If violence is the problem, he shouldn't be wrestling at all.
“Love and concern for all are not things some of us are born with and others are not. Rather, they are results of what we do with our minds: We can choose to transform our minds so that they embody love, or we can allow them to develop habits and false concepts of separation.” ~Sharon Salzbert
Four crooks in Malaysia were caught when the owner of a cell phone store they had just robbed spotted them celebrating in a nearby bar.
One guy, with no police record, gets stopped for a traffic violation. He gives his drivers license (valid) to the officer, then decides to run away. The police towed his truck away, then drive to his house and give him a ticket.
A crook in Italy grabbed a hostage and threatened to shoot him when police arrived at the scene of the crime. The officers decided not to worry too much about the hostage and arrested the guy. They didn't think that it would really hurt much if he did shoot the store mannequin he had taken hostage.
A woman in Texas didn't realize the mechanic would open the hood of her car to change the oil, so she didn't bother to remove the 18 bags of marijuana she had stashed under the hood before going in for service.
And the dumb winner is: Two teens who robbed a house in Florida taking electronics, jewelry and two odd looking containers with some strange powder in them. They assumed the powder had to be some type of drug (what else would anyone stash in a fancy container?) , so they snorted the ashes of the homeowner's dead father and two dogs. No report on whether or not they got high and saw ghosts.
