Congratulations to all who worked so hard to finally end Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
I have written before about how many ancient myths that were actually ways to pass on spiritual information through symbols became the fairy tales we all know. One I hadn't thought about was Rapunzel which is currently enjoying success as a hit movie titled “Tangled”. Looking at the original tale, I can see obvious symbolism. Rapunzel represents the soul trapped in the material body and material world (the tower). The witch who keeps her locked there represents the ego or Satan and the prince who frees her represents Christ or the Logos that awakens the soul.
I saw an interesting show on the History Channel several days ago about emperor Constantine. The show provided much evidence that Constantine did not convert to Christianity, as believed by most Christians, but rather he altered the Christian church to fit his own beliefs. Among the proofs is that the new capital city he founded and named Constantinople after himself, featured a huge statue of Apollo, not Jesus.
