The blind man is a symbol of the mind that is oriented to the physical world and therefore cannot really understand the non-physical worlds of spirit. So when Jesus, or some other prophet causes the blind to see, it is not the restoration of physical sight that is being referred too, although that may have happened in a few cases also, it is symbolically saying that Jesus (or Buddha, or Zoroaster, etc.) helped people awaken their souls giving them the ability to comprehend the spiritual through the soul's direct connection to God. 
    This symbolic interpretation also applies with sayings like “the blind leading the blind”. The real meaning of that is those who are spiritually blind or, perhaps more accurately, spiritually ignorant are trying to lead others. We see much of that today where leaders on business and politics have little spiritual knowledge or training. Sadly, we also see in in the ministry to a large extent where ministers are operating churches as if they were running a business.
    Seeing yourself blind in a dream may be literal and mean you should have your eyes checked, or it may be symbolic and mean you need to start opening your spiritual eyes before it's too late.
