Just a reminder to those who don't know english well that I do have a link in the right border to Google translator that can provide a translation for you to another language.  I know automatic translators are never totally accurate, but it might help.

I guess I must be getting old because the so-called reality shows don't appeal to me at all.  I hope the fad ends soon and we start getting real shows with real actors again.

What a great idea!  I saw on CNN that somewhere, I didn't catch where, they put a group of teens in go karts and had them try to race around the track while texting.  The teens learned without serious injury that they couldn't do both.

Bullying has been very much in the news recently with two recent suicides of young people directly caused by some type of bullying.  Everyone is saying that the schools need to do more to prevent and deal with bullying.  So do churches.  It needs to be discussed in Sunday School, Catechism Class, or whatever youth ministry the particular church has.  Sadly, the very conservative churches actually contibute to the bullying with their frequent preaching against the rights of others, especially gays, that tends to give kids the idea that it is OK to pick on those who are different.

So a bank in Texas is encouraging customer to carry guns with them in the bank with the idea that this will scare off potential bank robbers.  That philosophy worker real well during the wild west days, didn't it?
