Animal Predictors
There has been a lot in the news lately about animals predicting the future. First there was Bob the octopus predicting soccer games, now it's a crocodile predicting elections. But are these animals really predicting the future? I don't think so. I think what is really happening is that the trainer, or someone else who is with the animal is the one really making the predictions deep in the subconscious where time doesn't exist. The animal just picks up those thoughts and reacts to it. Not that I think it's impossible for an animal to predict the future, but when they do, it's for their benefit, not ours. Like when a squirrel recognizes certain signs on a spiritual level that tell it a tough winter is coming, so it starts stashing acorns. Or when animals head for the hilltops several minutes before a tsunami hits. Many would say they are not predicting the future, they are reading subtle signs in the present that we are not aware of, such as changes in air pressure, or sounds that we humans ignore. That may be true, but the result is that the animal prepares for something that hasn't happened yet, and that is predicting the future.
