IF you think about it, you will realize that the persons and things you fear are things you don't love and the persons and things you do love, you do not fear.  So if you want to get over fears, the solution is more love and that starts with loving yourself.  Not in an egotistical sense of believing yourself to be perfect and better than everyone else, but in a sense of believing that, despite your flaws, you are a child of God and worthy of being saved.
