Scripture: The Dhammapada 76

Like someone pointing to treasure
Is the wise person
Who sees your faults and points them out.
Associate with such a sage.
Good will come of it, not bad,
If you associate with one such as this.

While, in general, we like to avoid people who are always pointing out our faults and weaknesses, a spiritual teacher who does so is a true friend trying to help us and we should listen.
