    A truly spiritual person helps others without looking for credit or reward.  She does it because it is the right thing to do.  He does it because that is what God wants us to do.  By helping others without thought of gain or fame, we are following God's Will for this world and His plan to redeem it.  
    So what is wrong with seeking fame and fortune while helping others to grow spiritually?  The problem is that those who do that soon find themselves compromising the teachings to be more popular and gain more fame and fortune.  We see this happening in some of the big churches of today where the spiritual growth of the members is of little, if any, concern, and those are churches to avoid unless you are just looking for a social club to belong to.  They do serve a purpose for those who are not ready for true spirituality, but for those who are, you need a church or organization that teaches spiritual truths without using it as a means to run a highly profitable business.
