mostly repaid ($38 out of $50) so I reloaned $25 to a group of small business
owners in Peru.

Every time I go to a new doctor, I have to spend twenty minutes filling out nearly identical forms by hand.  Why, in this day, is there not a place on the web where we could download a set of standard forms, fill them in by computer so they are readable (I have doctorish handwriting) and bring them to the doctors office already filled out?

Several months ago, I wrote on this blog that we should never hear our government say that a corporation is too big to be allowed to fail.  I'm glad our president now agrees.

An eighteen year old guy tried to steal a big rig truck cab from a trucking company, but he didn't get far.  Fifteen feet to be exact.  Apparently, he didn't know how to disengage the air brakes.

Another young man stole some ipods from the store where he worked.  He got caught when he offered them for sale on a flyer he posted on the employee's bulletin board at the same store.

An American plastic surgeon, wanted on charges of malpractice and Medicare fraud, fled the country and was living in a tent on Mont Blanc in Italy.  When he was found by the police, he tried to kill himself by plunging a knife into his neck.  In keeping with his reputation for incompetence, he missed the vital arteries and was captured.
