Ours hearts go out to the poor people of Haiti.  One of the poorest countries in the world, many have lost what little they had not to mention the lost lives still to be counted. I urge you to donate to one of the relief charities helping Haiti as I did.

As for Pat Robertson and his statement that Haiti was being punished for it's voodoo past, I have to repeat what I've said on this blog before:  Why don't these fundamentalist preachers blame God when it's a conservative Christian area that gets hit by a blizzard, hurricane or other natural disaster?  As I've explained before, it's Satan who is the destroyer, not God.

I find it strange that a lot is being said in the media about privacy concerns with the new body scanners being installed at airports, but their is little mention of the potential health problems that can be caused by the radiation from these devices. 

And, speaking of airport security, Playmobil actually has a toy version.  The tongue-in-cheek comments about it on Amazon are hillarious.
