Down Time

Some people are constantly active.  They feel they need to be constantly doing something.  It isn't always something physically active, it can also be mentally active.  These people may get a lot done, but they also burn out quickly and tend not to learn much except what you can learn in formal schooling which is really only a small part of true learning.
We all need a little down time.  Even the best computers in the world have to be shut down and rebooted occasionally to keep them running at optimum.  We are no different.  In addition, if we never have any quiet time, we never hear that inner voice that can advise us better than anyone else what we should be doing.  So take a break and listen.

I think it's very important to have down time every day. Life gets so hectic that it can be hard to tune in to your higher self without it. I like to take a few minutes before I get out of bed to envision my day and what I need to get done. I give thanks for having the opportunity to have the day and ask for guidance for the day and any issues that may arise. I do the same thing at night when I go to bed.
