Random Thoughts 11-22-2009

I heard on the news recently that things have changed since last year at the used car lots.  Last year, gas guzzling SUVs were not selling at all and some dealers stopped taking them as trade-ins because they couldn't sell them.  Now, those used SUVs are selling well and it's the small, efficient cars that are sitting on the lots forever.  I guess some people just can't learn from the mistakes of the past.  Then next summer they will be screaming when gas prices jump to three or four dollars again.

I couldn't believe the story in the news about the couple in Pennsylvania that was arrested after refusing to pay a mandatory 18% gratuity at an Irish Pub because they said the service was lousy.  Whether the service was bad or not, I won't go into, but when tips become mandatory, there not tips, there hidden fees.

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.
