Random Thoughts 11-15-2009

I really have to start remembering to grab a towel as soon as I get home on a rainy day.  Other wise, my dog Nova, the Great Pyrenees, will dry off by rubbing her head on my pants.

What is happening with Thanksgiving this year?  I've seen an add ad for a very violent and bloody movie that will be opening on Thanksgiving and one cable TV channel, I forget which one, is advertising a weekend of vampire shows and movies for Thanksgiving.  I guess I will be thankful that I can still read a book.

This week, in response to the new movie "2012", a NASA scientist announced that the end of the world will not occur in 2012.  While I essentually agree with him, I wonder, when did NASA get into the prophecy business?

Remember when cheap, tacky velvet paintings were popular and you could find vendors selling them on street corners?  Here is one I got back then and still have.

    I loved those "tacky" velvet paintings. Your's is especially beautiful because I love Unicorns and used to collect them. I still have a velvet painting of a Doberman hanging in my stairway.
