Scripture: Matthew 12:35-37
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
While no person is totally evil, you cannot expect wisdom to come from the mouth of an evil person or evil to come from a good person. This passage is another case of Jesus telling us that it is not only our actions, but our words and our thoughts upon which we will be judged. So even if you have not directly done evil, if your words have encouraged others to do evil than you have done evil.
