Having Choices

Many people wonder why there is both evil and good in the world.  Some suggest that there isn't any evil, just things we humans don't understand.  Some think that there is evil and that means there is no God because if God existed there would be no evil.
There is good and evil in the world and God does exist.  ANd God could get rid of all the evil if He wanted to and if we wanted Him to but He doesn't for one simple reason: free will.  What we like to call "free will" is just another way of saying we have to make choices.  And not just superficial choices like what color socks to wear today, but important matters as well.  But if there was no evil, how could we make those choices?  How could we choose to follow God if there was no alternative?
When Adam & Eve lived in paradise (heaven), they didn't have to make choices, but then the devil changed that.  Afterwords, we found ourselfs stuck in a material world where evil does exist and we do have to make choices.  That doesn't mean that God approves of death, disease, hatred, bigotry or any other type of evil.  It just means he is allowing us to choose which path to follow.  But the time for us to make that choice is nearly up so if your choice is to follow the will of God than you need to start now.

Bigotry is judging someone based on there nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, the way they talk, how they dress, etc. rather than looking at each person as an individual and a bigot is one who considers himself better than others for those reasons.  To a larrge extent, it's really just laziness.  Its easier to judge groups than look at them as individuals.
