Write About Your Goals
Last week I wrote about using creative visualization to help you achieve your spiritual goals and other goals as well. Some people are not very visually oriented and can't easily visualize ideas. One think that I recently found that can help is to write a story about it. You don't have to be a good writer. You need not concern yourself with correct grammar or even spelling, this is not writing you are preparing to publish. Just write a short story, a few hundred words (the size of this post) is usually enough, about someone who achieves the goal you want to achieve. And at the end of the story, and occasionally during the story, mention in parenthesis that this person is actually you. You may be surprised to find that once you start writing about something you want to achieve, the images just start popping into your head where they will hopefully be sent to the subconscious mind which will make them happen. As an example, here is what I might write if my goal was to communicate with an angel:
He was laying in his bed quietly when a spot of light suddenly appeared in the dark room. The spot of light gradually grew larger until it filled half of the room. An angel stood in the center of the light. He (me) was a bit frightened, but also joyful that an angel was finally visiting him. The angel spoke and said: "God has much work for you to do." And then the angel explained in detail God's plan for him (really me).
That's a very short one, and your writing style may be very different, but it should give you an idea of what I'm talking about. The more details you put in the story, and the more emotional it becomes, the stronger you will be able to visualize it. Do this regularly changing the wording of the story a little each time until you convince your subconcious.
Another tool that helps is photos which I'll cover in detail another time.
