Random Thoughts 8-16-2009
The death this week of Les Paul was a minor story for the national media, but Paul contributed far more to modern music than Michael Jackson did. And Eunice Kennedy Shriver certainly did more of benefit to society than record a few pleasant pop songs.
I recently wrote that I didn't think I would save money with my Amazon Kindle, but I would save space. Since then, I have found that many books, especially old classics, are available for free or less that two dollars so maybe I will save money also.
I'm hoping the next cash-for-clunkers incentive program will let me trade in my two old analog televisions for a big discount on a new digital widescreen
