This week on the news was a story of arrests in Connecticut of people who allegedly were staging bird fights with finches and canaries.  Now that authorities have came down hard on those staging dog fights, they just find some other animal to be cruel to.  So, while the arrests and convictions for animal cruelty are a good step, it's obvious that what is needed is to get rid of the barbaric idea that cruelty and violence is entertainment.

• The Blue Man - remember the guy who took such large and frequent doses of colloidal silver that his skin turned silver-blue?
• Octomom - I know she has finally signed a deal for a reality show, but will anyone be watching?
• Carrie Prejean - The Miss California winner who got the Miss USA contest more publicity than it's had in a decade.
• Sarah Palen - ?  The jury is still out on this one.  She may have something up her sleeve besides a shotgun, but I doubt it.
