Treat Yourself
When you set goals for yourself, it is a good idea to reward yourself in some way when you reach your goal or a significant milestone along the way. If your goal is to get a college degree, reward yourself after every successful semester. If your trying to loose weight, reward yourself each time you loose a certain amount such as ten pounds (obviously, in this case, don't reward yourself with a chocolate cake.) The same is true of spiritual goals, whatever they may be. This is important because rewarding yourself periodically for your achievements helps you to continue toward your ultimate goal when it gets more difficult.
