There is nothing wrong with shopping for the right spiritual school or spiritual teacher to work with.  Just as you wouldn't buy a car without shopping for those that best meet your needs or a house that you will enjoy living in, you don't want to choose the wrong spiritual school and be disappointed because they teach only the very basics or the teachings are based on the schools founders reading the writings of some ancient spiritual teacher and starting a school based on those writings which are never more than a small part of the real spiritual teachings of a real spiritual school founded by an enlightened person.  So how do you choose?
    It's not as simple as choosing a car.  You can easily figure out what is most important to you in a car and study the various makes and models to decide which best matches your needs.  That is, unfortunately, not possible with spiritual schools since much of what they teach is not known in detail and you don't really know what you need to learn if you are not already highly developed spiritually.  I think with choosing a spiritual school, we need to rely on our intuition and guidance from higher level beings.  When the time is right,
hopefully, something will grab your attention.  It could be an add in a magazine, a video on youtube, or a blog.  Whatever it is, don't ignore it.  Your intuition is more trustworthy in these situations than your logical mind.
