Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, when we remember our birth mothers, let's also remember the mothers of us all: mother nature and Shekinah/Sophia/the Holy Spirit, the female aspect of God.

Some quotes on mothers:

"An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy."  ~Spanish Proverb

"mother is one to whom you hurry when you are troubled."  ~Emily Dickinson

"A mother's happiness is like a beacon, lighting up the future but reflected also on
the past in the guise of fond memories."  ~HonorĂ© de Balzac

"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but
whose place no one else can take."
~ Cardinal Mermillod

"I really learned it all from mothers."
 ~ Dr. Benjamin Spock
