I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
I have set the LORD always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth:
my flesh also shall rest in hope.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell;
neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I find this psalm interesting because it is asking God to save the writer, not from going to hell, but from the hell he is already in.  He is praising God for helping him with council (teaching) and protection to free him from the "night seasons" which I would interpret as the dark worlds, fallen worlds, or the material plane of existence.  Not that I think the material plane, or at least the third dimension that we humans live in is hell, that is the second dimension, but dimensions one through four are all "fallen" from the higher spiritual dimensions.
