Some people think they can escape from God and the responsibility of living according to the law of God: they cannot.  God finds you wherever you try to hide, no matter how much you try to deny Him, no matter how much you bury yourself in materialism and deny your eternal spirit.  It's eternal, always there.  Just as God has promised that even Satan and the other fallen angels will be redeemed in the end, so will all humans be purged of evil by the Sun of Righteousness.  Whether or not that is a painful process is up to us.  We can aid it, or we can fight it, but either way, it will happen.
