Selenite is an unusual crystal that can sometimes grow naturally as wands.  It's color is transparent, or nearly transparent white.  It is one of the varieties of Gypsum.  It was formed in ancient oceans and seas.  It is named after the Greek goddess Selene, goddess of the full moon.  It's associated zodiac sign is Cancer. 

Psychic and Spiritual properties
    Selenite aids communication, including inter-species and psychic communication.  It helps in contacting angels and spirit guides.  It also aids in remembering dreams, especially the prophetic ones.  It also helps you see through lies and deception.  It is a partnership stone and helps promote long-term relationships.  Some uses selenite rather than quartz to form a protective grid around the home.

Healing properties
    In physical healing, it is said to help all body fluids flow harmoniously.  It improves skin tone and aids in calcium absorption.  It is also an aid to fertility and healthy pregnancies.  As a white stone, it will primarily stimulate the crown chakra and aid health problems in the head.  It dissolves blocks to energy flow.
    In psychological healing, it helps bring the emotions into balance.  It is said to help one move from a materialistic to a more spiritual outlook.  It is also said to balance all sides of our being, physical, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual.

Although it has many useful properties, it is quite inexpensive.
