Companion plants are plants that benefit each other when planted together. Plant onions near roses and both will grow better.  Planting beans near celery or carrots does the same.
    I'm not planning to give gardening advice on this blog. I mention this only as an example of how all life is interconnected in ways that we are often unaware of. Those of us who have pets develop special connections with them and some people have special connections with their house plants, but even with plants and animals we don't know, we have connections.   People too, of course.
    And these connections are not just limited to the material life forms in the second and third dimensions. We also have connections with life forms like angels and demons in higher dimensions. Experiments in Quantum Physics show that even sub-atomic particles are connected together.  The ways in which life forms are interconnected is often not obvious so it is important for us to prevent extinction of all living things, even though we may be unaware of any direct or indirect benefit we get from them. 
    If a few species become extinct, nature may be able to adjust, but when many species are becoming extinct every year because of mans irresponsible use of natural resources, we create holes in the net of life that cannot be repaired. And when there are enough holes, the entire net will fall apart. I don't think any of us wants that. 
    In a very real sense, we are all companions on this planet, including Earth itself, and we all need to look out for each other.
