Connect the Dots

An eight-year-old kid is taught by his father how to handle and shoot guns
.
The father takes the kid hunting so he learns how much fun it is to blow apart defenseless animals
.
A eight-year-old doesn't really recognize the difference between killing animals and killing humans
.
The father apparently beats the boy frequently
.
The boy shoots the father and friend dead.

People are encouraged to line up hours, even days, before a Black Friday sale
.
The news media interviews the early arrivals like they are heroes rather than crazy people sitting outdoors for two days to save $50 on a TV (thats $1.04 per hour)
.
The store offers special deals to the first 100 customers
.
Two thousand are waiting at opening time to get the deals
.
The door is opened a few minutes late by a  guy with no armed guards protecting him
.
The young clerk gets trampled to death in the stampede.

It doesn't take a genius or a degree in criminal psychology to connect the dots in these cases.  Maybe, in the future, people can start connecting the dots before the final step and stop a tragedy before it happens.
