A few days ago I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a beat-up old pickup truck that read "GOD HATES..." .  The last part doesn't matter.  It could be Rednecks, Bigots, Liberals, etc.  There seems to be a number of these stickers available.  It's sad that some people believe that hate is a Christian value.  Some just don't get that the god of hate is Satan so if hate, and promoting hate, is your idea of religion, Satan is the god you are worshiping.

In the news this week is the sad story of a teen who committed suicide in front of a web cam.  Approximately 1500 people watched him take the pills and lay down on the bed, but no one called police until they realized he hadn't moved for hours.  When a few viewers were questioned, they said they thought it was all fake.

Some of our military people in Afghanistan and Iraq are animal lovers just as many of us here are.  Some of them end up adopting dogs and cats that they often find sick, injured or abandoned.  Once they help these pets and become attached to them, they often want to bring them back home, but find the cost of doing so prohibitive.  The SPCA has been helping with their "Operation Baghdad Pups" and they need donations.  If you want to help, click on the link.
