Multi-Generation Development

If you compared wild maze to the corn that is grown today, you would find it hard to believe they are the same plant.  Over many generations, corn has been changed by favoring those with larger and tastier ears.  Wild strawberries don't look or taste like those you buy in the store.  Egg laying hens of today lay more and bigger eggs than wild ones.  Over a number of generations, major changes can occur in a species.
Many are surprised to hear that this is also true of spiritual development.  The children of people who develop their spiritual side will find it easier to develop spiritually than their parents did.  They are also likely to develop beyond what the parents could achieve.  This is why many ancient spiritual schools and churches encouraged members to have children, a philosophy adopted by some modern churches.  They were not trying to increase the population of the planet, they were trying to increase the spiritual awareness of the people on the planet.
