A Walk in the Garden
A garden is a great place to go to take a break when you feel warn out or stressed. Just walking in a garden, or sitting there for a while, helps get you closer to nature. Also, the plants in the garden, along with the sunlight, gives you energy to overcome tiredness.
If you don’t have a garden, but have the space for one, you should consider growing one. Planting things and watching them grow is also good therapy.
You can also take a walk in the woods if you don’t have a garden to sit in.
I have a small garden in my back yard, but I also take a walk nearly every day in the small patch of woods near my house. Not that I have much choice – my two dogs insist on getting a walk and get restless and cranky if they don’t.
When you walk in the garden or woods, don’t do it like your just trying to get from point A to point B. Look around at the plants, trees and flowers. Notice the squirrels, birds, or other little animals. Breath the fresh air deeply and feel the energy in it. And don’t be afraid to hug a tree. They don’t bite.

I think this is soooo true! What would we do without garden ans little nature walks! We have a few flower gardens in our yard and have placed little benches near them. The benches invite you to sit rather than just pass by. It is a nice return to nature and allows a few minutes of reflection and a break from the hecticness life can have. I love the sounds and smells and visuals that you find in your walk in the woods or in your yard or at the flower garden. I don't have a vegetable garden but I have in the past and they are a great way to connect with nature too! There really is something wonderful about getting in there and digging in the dirt planting your own food or flowers!
