Many people say they want peace and peace is certainly a worthy goal.  Most of those who want it have no idea how to achieve it.  There have been many guesses and partial successes, but that's all.
    Some think peace can be achieved through rationalization and use of the intellect.  The problem with that approach is that the human brain is also still the carrier of primitive instincts and emotions so no matter how much you rationalize the need for peace, when those instincts and emotions take over, the rational mind gets pushed to the side and the emotions take over.
    Some think the solution is suppression of emotions like the Vulcans on Star Trek, but as we see on the TV show and movies, it never totally works for Spock because he is half human.  Seriously, though, it's impossible to pick and choose which emotions to suppress and which to encourage.  It's not like deciding which lights to turn on and which to turn off.  Suppressing emotions, if it can be done, will suppress the good with the bad, so not a good solution.
    Another solution often mentioned in recent years is meditation.  Meditation has been shown to reduce violent crime in a particular area when a group of trained meditators in the area meditated on peace, love and cooperation.  There are two problems I can see with this approach.  First, you have to have groups meditating for peace very regularly to achieve anything.  Second, frequent meditation tends to make some people so passive they become easy targets for more aggressive groups as well as dark spirits like demons and devils.
    It has been said that hatred of war will not bring about peace, but love of peace will.  For the most part, I agree with that, but It's more than love of peace that is needed, It's spiritual love.  Spiritual love, unlike physical or emotional love, is always unconditional.  Spiritual love is love of all creation, not just some select groups, species, or territories.
    Unfortunately, spiritual love is rarely, if ever, something that just happens.  It occurs only as a result of spiritual development, spiritual enlightenment.
