Tarot of this Blog

I've been trying to learn Tarot reading recently and found one method in my Tarot book to read the past, present and future of a business or other endeavor.  So I decided to try one for this blog.  Since I'm new with Tarot, I don't know how well it will predict for me, but here is the result.

The Past: Three of Wands, Two of Wands.

The Present: Eight of Swords, Five of Cups, Four of Cups

The Future: Judgement, Three of Swords

Interpretation

The Past:  Taking action on a new course (makes sense,  stated this blog just over a year ago).  Wand are all about magic and growth.  Wands bring light into darkness.  The Two of Wands generally represents someone who has started something new and is waiting to see what happens.  The Three of Wands is all about partnership, cooperation and support.

The Present:  Swords represent the mind, logic and reasoning.  Cups are about emotions and sensitivity and the sub-conscious.   Eight of Swords represents restricting yourself because of fear.  Four of Cups can mean boredom or it could be someone who has become detached from the world.  The five of cups represents a loss of something, usually something or someone you were attached to.

The Future:  Judgement is a cosmic wake up call and cooperation with higher spiritual forces.  Three of Swords symbolizes pain, sorrow, sadness at a loss, usually of a friend or loved one.

The past part all makes perfect sense, no real surprises there.  The present is full of surprises, if my reading is accurate.   Eight of Swords would make sense as part of the past but I think I've opened up quite a bit since the easy months of this blog, but maybe not as much as I think.  Four of Cups, I hope means I'm detached, or at least becoming detached, from the world, and not that this blog is boring.  I realize a spiritual blog is not for everyone, but I try to make it as interesting as possible.  The only thing I can think of that I've lost in the present on this blog is my privacy because I'm revealing so much now, but that seems to contradict the Eight of Swords.  The future shows great promise with Judgement, but also a loss, hopefully, just a loss of egotism (yes, I'm guilty of it too).

I have been doing Tarot for many years. Not as a business and I don't charge and rarely do them for others but I have a few decks that I use myself. I thought I would look your reading and see what I came up with. Combining or comparing what you get with someone else is a wonderful tool when learning Tarot. I used to do it all the time with my teacher.
Anyway, I believe your first blog entry was in September 2007 which means you would have been designing and planning the blog and writing beginning articles in August.
Past: 3 of wands...summer, growth, expansion and self expression. This is a card of opportunity and the synthesis of mind, heart and spirit. It also represents collaboration, shared responsibility and kindred spirits.
2 of wands: continuing your journey, reaching this point by your own strength and decision making.
I think those cards are perfect representations of the beginning of a spiritual blog.

    present:
8 of swords can be about over analyzing, too many options, and restricted energy. The card is saying not to feel pressured about writing enough, or the perfect thing all the time or having worries about what to right. It's saying just to trust and relax with it and what you should right will always be there, don't worry about it, it will come naturally through your higher consciousness.
The 5 of cups is represented some frustrations and fears you may be having about the readership of the blog. Don't be concerned with how many people are reading. Just write what your higher self knows to be truth and those meant to read it will find it.
4 of cups represents a feeling of boredom or unfulfilled expectations. With time we become more realistic and re-evaluate what we are doing. I think it just means your settling into the routing of writing the blog and getting past the nervousness of the beginning. I don't think it means the blog is boring at all.
    future:
judgment represents transformation and freedom and a time to rise above earthly limitation. IT's about re-evaluating past actions and future desires. It is a card of enlightenment and following your own intuition. I think it's telling you to keep going, your doing exactly what you should be, your on the right path and to keep trusting your intuition.
The 3 of swords is a card of grief but it's often more in the area of disappointment in someone or something. The loss is in the emotional realm not physical. I don't think it has anything to do with health or physical well being. I think it means that your going to make some changes to the blog in the future. Maybe theres been something you have been thinking about doing differently with it but have not made the steps. I think when you make the changes the loss will just be the old way the blog was done. I also think it's saying that you are changing and growing along with the blog and as the new comes in the old goes out.
I see you making changes with audio and video. I see you and the blog growing beautifully!

Thanks for looking at that and giving your interpretation.  The guide I was using for interpretation may not be the best and I'm new at it.  One other change I will probably make in the future is that I hope when I am in Reno next month I can convince a few other community members to write articles for the blog, either as occasional contributors or as regular co-authors.  I do hope to use audio and video more in the future.

Your interpretations were excellent, you did a great a great job! I was just adding more info. I took classes years ago and the teacher I had would have us do our own then each other ad to what we got.
