Independence Day 2008

When our forefathers first started moving to this continent from Europe, they did not come here, usually, with the idea of making huge amounts of money by claiming that they owned everything.  They came her for freedom from the repressive governments of their home countries in Europe.  They came for political, religious, and personal freedom.
When the king of England started taking those freedoms away, the colonists fought to get them back and started a nation in which freedom was a very important part of all levels of government.
It's important to remember that in this day when so many are willing to give their freedoms away for a "sense of security" (not to be confused with actual security).
