Anna-Maria Taigi, 1769-1837,  was known as a teacher, healer and prophet.  This quote from the book "The Fragrance of Rome" by Louis Veuillot shows that her gifts may have started with a visit from an angel or a vision of the Sun of Righteousness:

"Her intellectual gifts were altogether overshadowed by an unexampled miracle. Shortly before she had entered on the way of perfection there began to appear to her a golden globe which became as a sun of matchless light".

She was said to be able to see events anywhere in the world as easily as we see the house next door.  She touched the sick and healed them.  She warned others that they would die soon giving them a chance to prepare.  Many high ranking people in the Catholic church came to her for advice.  She foretold WWI and WWII.


As a prophet, her most famous prophecy is about the three days of darkness in the end times:

"God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy."

"All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms."

Some particular items of interest in this prophecy:

1) One punishment from earth, one from heaven.  I think heaven in this case really means "the heavens" as in
from space.  The collision of a large comet or meteor could cause great destruction and coupled with volcanic eruptions it would trigger, could certainly cause three days of darkness.
2) "the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly"  This again implys that the darkness will be the result of clouds of dust, possibly radioactive, that will kill many.
3) "It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles"  This indicates that whatever happens will disrupt electric and electronic devices and prevent them from working.  For three days, no electric lights, no TV, no computers and no cell phones.  To many, that will definately be hell on earth.

The good news is, she indicates that after the three days of darkness, we will be left with a world of those who are true believers of God and will do his work.
