Your spiritual archetype is the original you.  The you that existed before the physical body.  The you that existed before the physical universe.  It is permanent and imperishable.  If we want to truly awaken our spiritual nature, we have to do it by bringing out that hidden being within us and allowing it to dominate.  It isn't easy for most of us.  Our ego wants to dominate.  
    We do it with the help of Christ.  Christ is also an archetype symbol.  A symbol of God.  The Logos.  Few, if any, can do this on there own.  You need a spiritual teacher and guide who can understand where you are now and what you need to do to achieve this reawakening of your archetype.  A good spiritual teacher can also help protect you from the pitfalls of going places your not ready to handle.  Of course, the spiritual teachers I recommend are those in the International Community of Christ.
