Prophecies of the Mayan People
The Mayan calendar is divided into great cycles of 26,000 years. We are presently in the age they call "The Forth Sun" and will soon (2012) enter the age of "The Fifth Sun". It's called Caban in the Maya language and Ollin in Aztec. The "Ol" in Ollin stands for Conciousness, so this is an age of Conciousness, that is, spiritual or Christ Conciousness.
An extract from a sacred Mayan text:
"In the year 1475, before the arrival of the Spanish, The Supreme Maya Council revealed that a calendar cycle of twice the KÆaltun of 260 years had to go by in order for the Maya Solar Culture to flourish again for the benefit of mankind... In the spring of 1995, this 520 year period will be completed, bringing to an end the cycle of darkness brought by the Spaniards to the land of the Sun. ...1995 is a decisive year and the sacred human race will have to enter the path of cosmic light if it is to remain a thinking species..."
According to anthropologist, Dr. Arlen Chase, " The Mayan calendar is one of the wonders of the world. It is so accurate in terms of its counting ability, that it puts our calendar to shame. To the Mayan, time was cyclical. So, you return and cycle back. They have one major cycle that started in 3113 B.C. that is going to come to an end on December 12, 2012." At this time they believed that there would be a sudden reversal in the earth's magnetic field.
When the spanish arrived in the Mayan world, they destroyed most of the sacred books. A few survived. The most famous is "The Dresden Code". In 1986, Maurice Cotterell put forth a revolutionary theory concerning astrology and sun cycles." He had for some years suspected that the sun's magnetic field had consequence for life on earth." As he studied the Dresden Codex, he discovered that the Mayan calendar was not arbitrary but based on a knowledge of sunspots. This explained the Mayan obsession for long cycles of time and their belief in the rise and fall of the four previous ages of man.
"All moons, all years, all days, all winds, reach their completion. Measured is the time in which we can know the benevolence of the Sun. Measured is the time in which the stars look down upon us." (Popol Vuh of the Quiche Maya)
According to the Mayan calendar we have now since the beginning of 1999 entered an Underworld, which favors the Eastern Hemisphere, which is becoming very obvious in economic terms. But through holographic resonance it also favors the right, concrete mode, hemisphere of the brain, and there is nothing anyone can do to turn this development around. Sooner or later then the whole idea of an economy based on an abstract notion of value is going to collapse because of the mental changes that the cosmic plan now propels. Along with this will go much of the global means of tender, the monetary system. (Carl Johan Calleman)
Many predictions have been deciphered from the Mayan calendar. One of the more well known and controversial prophecies is that December 21, 2012 marks the end of the world, doomsday or Armageddon. The Mayan doomsday prediction coincides with a winter solstice. This may not mean the end of the world as many think, but a major change. A change to a spiritual rather than materialistic world. Ths coincides with other Native American prophecies. Also, the prophecies of Malichi regarding the Sun of Righteousness.
