Scripture: Luke 12.29 - 12.31
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink,
neither be ye of doubtful mind.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after;
and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
But rather seek ye the Kingdom of God;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
This scripture could have been written last week instead of nearly 2000 years ago. It may fit todays world even more than the world at the time it was written. We are all caught up in pursuing material things: food, housing, clothes, and many other things that we don't really need, but want. We have very little time left for God and developing our spiritual self. Which is strange considering our material body will pass away no matter what we do, but out spirit, if we develop it, is immortal. This scripture is telling us to put God first on our to-do list and God will provide for our needs in the physical world.
