I had a strange dream last night.  I was on a city street, either early morning before the sun was fully up, or evening.  There were a few people in the streets, not many.  Every few second I saw a big spider run across the street.  There seemed to be two types, both with bodies about the size of a tennis ball and legs a foot long.  One of the spiders was heading toward a child, but a man pulled him out of the way in time.  Then the spider continued forward straight into me.  I grabbed the spider in my fist and squashed it, but not before it bit me.  The man than warned me that the spider was poisonous and I needed to get medical help.  When I tried to reply, my speech was blurred and I was getting dizzy.  Then I woke up.

Seeing a child in a dream is a good omen.  So is seeing an unknown man, especially a helpful one.  Killing a spider is a symbol of illness.  Being poisoned is a symbol of loss.

So this dream seems to be telling me I will experience some illness (physical, mental, or spiritual) and suffer some loss, perhaps because of the illness, but in the long run will bring about something good.  Hopefully, it won't be anything serious.
